[GTM] - GA4 Set up (configuration)

It is possible to add GA4 tag using Google Tag Manager (GTM). Let's see how to set up GA4 tag in GTM.

Tags Set UP

1. Analytics Set Up

In the GA4 account, go to  'Admin' -> click data stream under the attribute section

Open the item

Copy the the id under the 'Measurement ID'

2. GTM Set Up

In the GTM account, go to 'Workspace' -> 'Tags' -> 'New'

Click 'Tag Config' box

Select 'Google Analytics: GA4 Configulation'

Paste the 'Measurement ID' from GA4 we copied above.

Select 'Triggering' box

Choose 'All Pages' and click 'Save'

Create GA Config Tag

Publishing

We have to submit the changes for them to take an effect on global environment. Click 'Submit' on the top right (Whenever you see numbers other '0' it means that there are some work not published yet).

Click 'Publish' (Adding a message is optional).

Click 'Skip' or 'Continue' (If you wrote a message in the previous step you won't see this pop up.

When it is done, the summary will appear.

If you were successful, you will see data starts populating you GA4 attribute.
