You can add a certain type of audiences to target them in a remarketing campaign. Audiences can be created in Google Analytics or in Google Ads. Let’s see how.

Click ‘Admin’ under the bottom left corner then select ‘Audiences’ under Property
‘All Users’ and ‘Purchaser’ are provided by default. Click ‘New audience’
Here, you can either create from scratch or use a template.
1. Start from Scratch
Create a segment using the conditions such as event and page path
2. Suggested Audience
As the name suggests, it comes with a predefined setup. You can also customize the audience
Ads
After data source is create, we can add segment in Google Ads.
Click ‘Tools and settings’ on the top menu -> choose ‘Audience manager’ under Shared Library
You will see segments list in the opened page. If you have linked with other products you will see the segment imported from the product too. Click ‘+’ on the left
Choose segment source
Enter ‘name’
Fill in ‘Segment members’ and ‘Actions’
Click ‘Create segment’
Then you will see the created segment in the list
Segment Report
For the segement report to be populated in the report, it needs to exceed a certain amount of data. The threshord varies depending on campaigns as follows:
Campaign | Threshord |
Display | Minimum 100 and more within last 30 days |
Search | Minimum 1000 and more within last 30 days |
YouTube | Minimum 1000 and more within last 30 days |
Discovery | Minimum 1000 and more within last 30 days |
