GA4 is a new version of Google Analytics. It is a great tool to track website traffic and capture events to better optimize your website for you users. Today, we are going to see how to set up a GA4 account and property.
Unlike UA, its predecessor, there are three layers in GA4 when it comes to an account:
Account (business) -> Property (website) - Data Stream (website)
Account
The account represents a business. Under an Account you can have up to 100 properties (websites). Click ‘Admin’ in the bottom left corner. Then under the account (left side) click ‘+create account’
Enter an account name (again this is business level so choose the name that best describes your business)

Then you will see a data sharing option which controls how the data in the Analytics will be shared with other Google products and services. Check or uncheck as you like
