To get data from your Google products such as Google Ads and Google Analytics, we need something to link the site and your Google product. Google tags fills the gap and allows us not only to get data but alose to send events and conversions.
The way to insert the tags differ from one site to another and in this writing, we will see how we can set up the Google tags in Six shop (one of the most popular CMS in Korea)
Implementation
Six shop provides 'add on' menu to add additional features such as adding a exteral script and adding extensions. Tags can be add either through inserting an exteral scrip or with extensions
Using Extesions
Select 'add on' on the left menu
Scroll down until you find the product you are looking for. (In this example, I will select Google Tag Manager). Note that you cannot add both Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (Use GTM in that case to add both)
Click '+' icon and select 'add'
Insert the GTM id in the first box and click 'save'
Insert External Script
Select 'add on' on the left menu
Scroll down until you find 'code edit'.
Click '+' icon and select 'add'
Insert the code to the <head> tag under the 'code edit' -> 'common'
Additionally, Six shop also provides script for each page. So if you want to insert a tag in a specific page (of course, if the page is listed), you use the <head> or <body> tag for the page
